Agronomy Technology Promotion Specialist - Posted: February 13, 2013

Location: Rock Valley

Classification: Full-time

Description: Promotion and support of agronomic data management and technology within our cooperative.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Gather, process and upload yield data and field information to PCS
• Analyze, develop and understand our data management software
• Evaluate and provide accurate information from our technology programs
• Manage financial aspects of Elevate data management including invoicing growers, tracking expenses and margin of acre fees or equipment costs
• Communicate with hardware suppliers (JD, Case IH and others) to provide up-to-date information on new technologies, products, trends and challenges
• Train internal sales staff in regards to sales, promotions and service of Elevate, PinPoint and Precision Ag Hardware
• Work with agronomists to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies

Basic Qualifications:

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of computer software (Elevate, PinPoint, Microsoft Office and Agronomic Programs)
• Basic knowledge of Yield Monitors, VR Controllers and Planter Monitors
• Strong agronomic knowledge of CPP, CN and Seed Genetics
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Detailed organizational skills
