Don Harberts - Agronomy Division Manager, Rock Valley (712) 451-6281Don started working at Farmers Elevator Cooperative in 1992 as the Doon location manager / Agronomy division manager. He graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College in 1983 with a degree in applied science. Don is married to Lori and has three sons, Derek who is married to Kelly and lives in Sioux Falls, Taylor who is a senior at Iowa State University, and Brendan who is a senior at Rock Valley Community School. Don enjoys camping, riding motorcycle, and would be considered somewhat of a Disney fanatic.  Randy Kooima - Agronomist, Rock Valley (712) 470-4256Randy started working part-time for Farmers Elevator Cooperative at the Doon location in the spring of 1987. That fall he started full-time in the grain department, managing the west concrete and running floater in the spring of 1988. In the summer of 1993, He moved in as the field agronomist/floater operator for the Rock Valley location. He was in that position until the summer of 2004, when he went to work for A&I Products in the Tech Department. He was in that position until the fall of 2008 and returned to work as the Agronomist for the Rock Valley location. Randy currently lives in Sioux Center with his wife Charlotte, daughters Alexis who is 6 and Taryn who is 3. His hobbies include snowmobiling in Colorado and Wyoming, boating in Yankton with the girls, and spending time taking care of his yard. Most of all, he enjoys spending time with his family.  Matt Smolders - Agronomist, Rock Valley (712) 441-1916Matt was an intern for Farmers Elevator Cooperative in the summer of 2012. He begins full-time in May as an Agronomy Trainee after he graduates from Dordt. Him and his fiance have just purchased a house in Hull, IA. Matt enjoys fishing and golfing in his free time and being able to meet new people and work with customers while on the job.  Wylan Fluit - Agronomist, Alvord (712) 470-0354Wylan grew up north of Alvord on a farm raising livestock and grain. He graduated from South Dakota State University in December of 2012 with a BS Degree in Agriculture Business. In February of 2011, he started working at Farmers Elevator Cooperative as an agronomist at the Alvord location. His wife and he live in Larchwood, IA with their daughter and are expecting another child in the middle of March.  Terry Aukes - Seed Team Leader (712) 726-3252Terry graduated from Dordt College in 1997 with an agricultural degree. In April of 1999, Terry started as Seed Department Manager at Farmers Elevator Cooperative. Terry farms with father Orlie and brothers Brian and Dan in the Hills, MN area. He lives with wife Christy, sons (Logan 14), (Dylan 10), daughters (Katelyn 8), (Megan 6), and (Brooklyn 2). Terry and his family reside in Larchwood, IA.  Mark Kooima - Agronomist and Outback Sales. Doon (712) 470-9900Mark started working at FarmersElevator Cooperative in 1997 after graduating from Dordt College with an agricultural business degree. His work at Farmers Elevator Cooperative has evolved over the years. Mark enjoys being involved in agronomy sales and Outback guidance equipment. He lives 3 miles south of Doon on a diversified pumpkin plantation. He enjoys his summers outside both at Farmers Elevator Cooperative and at home with his wife and 4 kids.  Wade De Groot - Agronomist and Precision Parts, Doon (712) 541-0182Wade grew up on a dairy farm 5 miles northeast of Doon, IA. He graduated from South Dakota State University in December of 2006 with a BS Degree in Agronomy and specialized in Pest Management. Wade started working for Farmers Elevator Cooperative in November of 2008. He currently lives on an acreage by Doon with his wife and daughter. The family is expecting an addition in October. Wade enjoys spending time with his family and running a sheep flock.  Jeff Blauwet - Agronomy Technology Specialist, Doon (712) 470-1416Jeff started as a sales agronomist-applicator at Farmers Elevator Cooperative in 1993 at Doon. He has been involved in all aspects of our agronomy business, from application and sales to now more of a technical support and training role within our agronomy team. He lives on an acreage SE of Larchwood with his wife Deb, son Darren, and daughter Megan. His favorite activities are following Iowa State and West Lyon sports, shooting sporting clays tournaments, fishing, and hunting.  Blake Groeneweg - Seed Inventory Specialist, Doon (712) 470-0626Blake grew up southwest of Doon on the farm and started working at Farmers Elevator Cooperative in April 2009 after he graduated from Northwestern College with a BA in Accounting and an Ag-business option degree. Blake enjoys being involved in seed order/distribution, seed treatment, and precision ag services. He lives in Rock Valley with his wife Stephanie and 2 kids Braedyn and Cambry.  Dan Gisolf - Precision Ag Specialist, Doon (712) 470-5533Dan started at Farmers Elevator Cooperative in Lester on December 1999. He worked in Lester, Rock Rapids, and now Doon. Dan lives in George with his wife and daughter. When he is not at work, Dan enjoys hunting and fishing.  Todd Schlup - Agronomist, Hudson (605) 254-2765Todd has been an Agronomist for the past four years, operating out of the Farmers Elevator Cooperative in Hudson, SD. Within this position he has had the opportunity to learn about the changing world of seed, fertilizer, chemicals, custom application, and VR planting/fertilizer recommendations, just to name a few. Spending time outdoors and in the field helping growers make decisions is one of the things he loves most about his job. Previous to his duties as an agronomist, Todd was the Grain Manager and Custom Applicator for Farmers Elevator Cooperative in Hudson for three years. Todd grew up in Hudson, SD and is a 1992 graduate of Alcestor-Hudson High School. Following high school, he enlisted in the US Navy, where he spent eight years on active duty and is still serving in the Navy Reserve. Todd lives with his wife and three kids in Beresford, SD.  Kent Moser - Agronomist, Inwood (712) 470-2418Kent grew up in the rural Lester area on a diversified family farm. After high school, he obtained an Agribusiness Associates from Iowa Lakes Community College. Four years after college, Kent got married and now they have two daughters. He currently resides on an acreage by Lester, where he still gets to enjoy helping his family in their farming operations.  Devin Antrim - Agronomist, Larchwood (605) 988-4796Devin began with the company in Fall of 2010 as an Agronomist at the Larchwood location. He received his BS in Agriculture systems technology from Iowa State University. After ISU, he spent 3 years working in the agriculture research equipment industry before coming to Farmers Elevator Cooperative. He now works with the precision planting part of our business as well as the agronomist role. He currently resides a few miles southeast of Inwood and enjoys many outdoor activities.  Brent Hofmeyer - Agronomist, Rock Rapids (712) 470-4804Brent has worked as an agronomist in Rock Rapids since December 1999. He is originall from Sheldon. Brent received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University. He currently lives with his wife in Rock Rapids.  Brian Loerts - Agronomist, Rock Rapids (712) 470-4802Brian started with Farmers Elevator Cooperative as an intern in the summer of 2001 and full-time in December of 2003. He attended Iowa Lakes Community College and Northwest Missouri State University. He is from the Sibley-Ocheyedan area.  Scott Staum - Agronomist, Hawarden (712) 551-2064Scott began working with Farmers Elevator Cooperative at the end of January 20122. He is a Certified Crop Advisor. Scott has been involved in most aspects of agronomy retail since 2000 from applicator to location manager. He grew up and resides in Elk Point, SD. Scott and his wife Kelly have four kids, Katie, Ryan, Laura, and Aaron.  Greg Kleinhans - Agronomist, Hawarden (712) 551-2064Greg is from the Alcester area and is currently living in Worthing, SD. He received his training at SDSU and working as an independent crop consultant, working from Ireton, IA to Arlington, SD. Greg can also help you with any nutrient questions you might have from SD or IA. |
